This was probably one of my worst flare ups to date.
I try and capture as much evidence as possible to show my doctors and to raise awareness on my socials, so as soon as I started feeling the pain and seeing my stomach expand before my eyes I set my camera up.
My husband was with me in the kitchen keeping an eye on me, when I was doubled over in pain he came to help and told me to go to bed ❤️
It must have taken at least 10 minutes to get up those stairs.
At that point my body was so weak my legs literally couldn’t hold me, I crawled up the stairs and into bed where I stayed until the next day.
The pain was excruciating, it’s like someone was kicking me in the stomach taking my breath away with every breath I tried to take.
As I was also on my period this was a double whammy for me!
I’m still waiting to hear back from the Gastroenterologist and Gynaecologist, thanks to videos like this I can show them how it affects me.
My GP has said he doesn’t believe this is IBS, but something more severe.
And now we also know Endometriosis runs in my family so I’m being tested for that soon.
So top tip - take photos and videos to show your health care providers, sometimes trying to explain your symptoms isn’t enough.
